If you follow me over on the ‘gram (here’s my instagram link in case you need it), you saw a big announcement last week. But in case you’re more of the email list/blog follower, there are some big moves happening and I want to share the news with you!
The Blush & Tease Studio is MOVING!!
For the past 10 YEARS I have had a few little slices of heaven filled with gorgeous natural light and always offering some exposed brick. I have loved every minute shooting in my very own studio and it seems crazy to know that this chapter is closing. Before we start talking about the future, let me give a little love to all of my studios.
First, South Broadway. It was surreal to have my very own studio in Denver, CO. I used to describe it as a tiny brick building between 2 used car lots and that’s exactly what it was. Blink and you’d miss it. Walk up to it and you’d think, “This can’t possibly be right.” But if you were lucky enough to be a S. Broadway babe, you know just how much magic happened in that space.
Next, upstairs on Kalamath. I remember when Christina told me that I HAD to see the space she had for rent. I was hesitant – I loved my studio and wasn’t sure if I could find that same magic anywhere else. But she insisted, and I can never turn that babe down. I walked in and instantly knew: This is my happy place.
So after 5 years at S. Broadway, we packed up the studio and headed to Kalamath. I gained an office, a kitchen, a real sized bathroom, and SO MANY magic moments.
And then, the studio moved downstairs. Last year during some transitions, Christina asked if I would want to switch spots in the building. I was always swooning over her space so it should have been an easy yes. But again, I hesitated. Why? Because Adena doesn’t do change well, I mean why change something that is working so perfectly? But the more I thought about the open space and the MASSIVE brick wall, the more I knew it was worth the risk.
At this point I’ve been on Kalamath for about 5 years. It has been such a special place for so many women to fall more in love with themselves. They walk through that door and immediately feel at home. I use the word magic a lot because it is something that is really indescribable. Watching everything fall into place to create space for my clients to feel comfortable – its incredible.
Now I find myself at another transition point. It feels uncomfortable not knowing what’s next, but it also feels exciting to dream up what could be. I tend to get stuck in my ways and feel secure in the routine because I know the general outcome. But have you ever been on an outdoor shoot with me? Or heard me talk about what happens when everything is out of my control and I just capture what is? I go back to that word again: magic.
As I reflect on my boudoir studio journey, I remembered the feeling of moving into my very first space. I think the whole thing surprised me. Although I knew how much I loved specializing in boudoir, I never really dreamed so far out that I could see myself there. And then, one day, it happened. I thought I could never be happier then when I was in that studio, and then one day, I was.
So, as much as I want to have a tight grip on how things have been for the past 10 years, I’m learning to loosen that grip and see what happens. I’m curious about the opportunities that might appear because I’m open to something new. I’m excited about ideas I have for future exclusive events. And I’m just so grateful for the spaces that have allowed me to create art with my beautiful clients over the past decade.
So follow along on the journey of what’s next. It might feel like a pause on my time in a studio that feels like home, but it will also feel like a wild adventure – full of magic.

I move out of my studio at the end of July. That means there are only a handful of Blush & Tease Experiences and Tease sessions left!
(And no — this does NOT mean I’m done shooting! There’s a lot coming this fall. But the way I offer sessions is going to look a little different in the future.)
