Challenge #20 of 31!!
Today I want you to compliment yourself! We already talked about negative self talk, let's put the positive self talk into practice.
Think about the things that you love about yourself and then say them out loud to yourself. Write those compliments in a journal. Practice getting used to telling yourself how amazing you are.
If this is hard challenge...call a friend. Tell her about this challenge and tell her it was hard to compliment yourself. I bet she will give you a list of things to choose from. Imagine if your bestie called you and said she can't seem to find a compliment to say to herself, you would be like ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Let someone help you if you're stuck. And then, practice.
For some people it is hard enough to just accept a compliment. Someone may say something nice and you think "Yeah, right." or you just assume they are trying to get something out of you. STOP. Listen to what they are saying. Let it soak in.
We talked about this awhile ago on my B&T Instagram and someone responded this...
"Why do we believe others when they say hurtful things but we usually DON'T believe our supporters when they compliment us??" SERIOUSLY!
So, compliment yourself. And let those compliments fly, you have no idea how much the people around you may need to hear it.
