Friday Favorite – Denver Boudoir Photographer

Its FRIDAY! And my lovely boudoir clients have hooked me up with some KILLER images to share with you over the next few weeks. Friday favorites are, well, my favorite! Boudoir can be a very vulnerable thing and I love to hear about it from my client’s perspective. When I got this email I was in TEARS! Her worlds seriously just lit a fire in me and reminded me why I do what I do! Ok, ok, I’ll let her tell her Blush & Tease story…

“My adventure with Adena started when I wanted to get “best wifey award” 😉 by secretly doing a shoot for my husbands wedding present. I mean what kind of guy wouldn’t like beautiful pictures of his wife that he can look at for years to come!?

After many emails we finally set a date. As I anxiously awaited for the day to come, I looked at her Instagram countless times wondering how in the world am I ever going to look like that? All of the women she posted were so effortlessly stunning. Their hair always fell perfectly, their makeup was spot on and of course their outfits (or lack there of) were AMAZING.

I started posting ideas to my Pinterest board and shopping for my own shoot. This was probably one of the hardest parts because honestly, I had never shopped for lingerie! I didn’t know where to start! With some guidance from the Victoria’s Secret employees I found my wardrobe for the day and I felt ready to conquer my fears of being in front of the camera.

Before I knew it it was the week of my photo shoot! Of course, I ate super healthy and did a few more squats than normal with hopes it would make me look better for my shoot. But who was I kidding…Adena could make a walrus look sexy! The day of the shoot my nerves were running high for a number of reasons, one of them being having to flat out lie to my fiancé about my plans for the day!

I stepped into the studio and I immediately felt welcomed and my nerves simmered down a bit (thank you mimosas!). Adena and her team have such a natural and easy going way of interacting with you. Conversations flowed easily and they did a stellar job preparing me for the shoot. I felt energized, naturally sexy and confident. As the shoot progressed I got more adventurous. Adena was always able to gage my comfort and never put me in a place where I didn’t feel comfortable. There really isn’t a word to describe how I felt that day. Empowered, gorgeous, spontaneous, giddy…..I could go on and on.

My session with Adena was one of the best things I have done for myself. I slowly realized that this wasn’t just for my soon-to-be husband, but it was also for myself. For my confidence, my “self health” and for all the negative things I once saw in the mirror. I finally saw what Eric sees every time he looks at me. I finally see myself as beautiful and I can look past my flaws. It is hard to be a women in today’s world. We are constantly judging ourselves and comparing. Because of Adena I have taken a few steps away from that and realized my own beauty.
When I look at my photos I see someone that I am proud of because of the growth I’ve made. Every picture, no matter what the pose is, I see the real me and my personality. There are a whole range of moods and feelings that Adena brings out in your pictures. They are so real.
For those of you that are on the fence…DO IT. Don’t let the dollar sign scare you away. You can’t put a price on the way Adena will make you see and love yourself.” -Ms. G.
See why I was in tears?! There is a reason I call a Blush & Tease session an EXPERIENCE. Its so much more then putting on lingerie and getting in front of the camera!
And I had to sneak in a couple of MY favorites from this session…
Ms. G, thank you so much for putting your Blush & Tease experience into words! If I remember right, at our planning meeting you were still unsure how boudoir could really be for you. Then at the very end of your session I’m pretty sure you squealed something like “I want to do this everyday!” HAHA! What a transition! I’m so glad you enjoyed your time in my studio but it makes me even happier to know that you saw the beauty you posses. Don’t ever forget it!
